Scope
Design, fabrication and installation of steel access walkways and stairs.
Description
Structural Fabrications Ltd was contracted to provide the design, fabrication and installation of various steel access walkways and stairs at Williamsgate Water Treatment Works (WTW).
The design included:
· Interpretation of advance PIDS and specifications to ensure all requirements were incorporated into the mechanical installation design
· Development of the outline 3D model
· Production of 2D General Arrangement drawings along with 3D model files for co-ordination and clash detection purposes
· Liaison and collaboration with other disciplines and vendors/sub-contractors to develop a co-ordinated 3D model
· Site survey visits
· Design review meetings
